Google is looking to solve the hardest, most interesting challenges of developing software at scale without sacrificing stability, quality, velocity or code health, specifically for the US public sector institutions to accelerate their digital transformations
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
- 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Knowledge of government compliance frameworks, such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 and others
Responsibilities
- Write a product or system development code
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Other
- Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including access to classified information
- Active or the ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills
