Alcon's Supply Chain Analytics function needs to design and maintain data solutions to power supply chain analytics, optimize ETL workflows, develop data pipelines, and create dashboards for business intelligence and decision-making.
Requirements
- Proficiency in ETL tools such as Alteryx, Looker, or equivalent platforms
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, joins, and stored procedures
- Working knowledge of Python programming, particularly pandas library and other standard data analysis packages
- Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain ETL workflows using tools such as Alteryx, Looker, Glue and other data integration platforms to support supply chain analytics initiatives
- Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources to create robust data pipelines that enable business intelligence and decision-making
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate and analyze large datasets from data lakes, enterprise databases and data warehouses
- Develop Python scripts using pandas, NumPy and other standard libraries for data cleaning, transformation, and automated reporting processes
- Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI or similar business intelligence tools to communicate insights to stakeholders across the supply chain organization
- Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, forecast trends and optimize supply chain operations including demand planning, inventory optimization, and logistics efficiency
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to support supply chain forecasting, risk analysis and scenario planning
