The Hartford’s Tech, Data, Analytics and Cyber organization is seeking recent college graduates to build their Software Engineering career and provide development support for The Hartford’s critical applications and assets.

Requirements

  • Prior programming experience in college and group settings
  • Knowledge and experience in programming languages like CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Java, SQL, .NET or Python
  • Experience with Agile engineering team, technology, and problem solving
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, continuous delivery and agility
  • Experience with web development
  • Experience with software engineering practices
  • Experience with Angular, React, Java and .NET

Responsibilities

  • Utilize platforms (such Angular, React, Java and .NET) and cloud technologies to develop applications that support organizational goals
  • Utilize programming languages and software technology while applying disciplined software engineering practices
  • Develop or modify software application modules, using disciplined software engineering practices
  • Engage in work that is guided by more senior members of the team
  • Build and utilize end to end software solutions to develop quality software applications that support our business
  • Participate in immersive instructor-led training relative to software engineering, web development, cloud computing, continuous delivery and agility
  • Partner with various parts of the organization to build a working knowledge of the organization, business, processes, and its customers

Other

  • Bachelor's degree – May 2026 graduates
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale) at the time of graduation
  • Desired majors include, but are not limited to: Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Management Information Systems, Applied Mathematics
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills
  • Ability to plan time and organize priorities, and pivot to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
