KLA is looking for an Associate Test Engineer to be involved with the testing of new technologies, requiring judgment to resolve moderately complex problems and make recommendations in a collaborative, continuous learning environment.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Ultra High Vacuum Systems testing, integration, and troubleshooting
- Previous experience working with Vacuum Chambers, Vacuum Gauges, Valves, Pumps, etc.
- Knowledge of electron optics, pneumatics, robotics, and High Voltage electronics is a plus
- Follow existing checklists, processes, and protocols
- Create, write, highlight, modify technical documentation and procedures
- Work in a clean room Class 100 environment is required
- Hands on experience using Oscilloscopes and DVM (Digital Voltmeter) tools and equipment is preferred
Responsibilities
- Support mechanical assembly and disassembly of various sub-systems on the tool, including cable routing
- Support mechanical tool reintegration and verify consistency with structured procedures provided by Manufacturing Development Engineers
- Test, troubleshoot, and rework assemblies and/or entire tool for qualification testing and upgrade operations
- Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
- Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, which require judgment in resolving issues
- Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction, and with general instructions on newly introduced assignments
- Assist with improving Manufacturing process

- Demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English

- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; Domestically and Internationally
- Knowledge of MS Office suite software and other applications is a plus
- 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree. Or 2 years of experience and an Associate's degree.
