KLA is looking for an Associate Test Engineer to be involved with the testing of new technologies, requiring judgment to resolve moderately complex problems and make recommendations in a collaborative, continuous learning environment.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Ultra High Vacuum Systems testing, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Previous experience working with Vacuum Chambers, Vacuum Gauges, Valves, Pumps, etc.
  • Knowledge of electron optics, pneumatics, robotics, and High Voltage electronics is a plus
  • Follow existing checklists, processes, and protocols
  • Create, write, highlight, modify technical documentation and procedures
  • Work in a clean room Class 100 environment is required
  • Hands on experience using Oscilloscopes and DVM (Digital Voltmeter) tools and equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical assembly and disassembly of various sub-systems on the tool, including cable routing
  • Support mechanical tool reintegration and verify consistency with structured procedures provided by Manufacturing Development Engineers
  • Test, troubleshoot, and rework assemblies and/or entire tool for qualification testing and upgrade operations
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
  • Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, which require judgment in resolving issues
  • Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction, and with general instructions on newly introduced assignments
  • Assist with improving Manufacturing process

  • Work effectively across different functional teams in different locations
  • Assist in technical conference calls and support issues external to the Manufacturing Cell
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English
  • Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; Domestically and Internationally
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite software and other applications is a plus
  • 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree. Or 2 years of experience and an Associate's degree.
