BDO is looking for a Risk Advisory Services Intern to partner with experienced professionals to provide risk consulting and issue resolution to clients in areas such as internal audit, SOX, business process improvement, information technology, and fraud investigations.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required.
- Strong analytical and basic research skills
Responsibilities
- Assists in documenting and analyzing the client’s processes, risk and controls with guidance and direction from Risk Advisory Services professionals
- Assists in developing initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
- Utilizes research tools, databases, and trade publications to develop understanding of client’s industry
- Assists with the research and drafting of proposals
- Maintains all documentation and work papers associated with client engagements
- Assists with the informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement process
- Assists in obtaining information, documents, and data from clients to support the completion of analysis and research of client issues
Other
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Finance, required
- Pursuing an MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred
- Past leadership experience, preferred
- Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business and report writing
- Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
