The company is looking to hire an Audiovisual System Designer to help clients unlock innovation, embrace the future, and change communities for good as part of their digital transformation business. The role involves client consulting, system design, and construction administration for various projects.
Requirements
- Experience using REVIT
- Minimum three years of experience designing Audiovisual systems; this may include: video, audio, control, video over IP, audio teleconferencing, video teleconferencing systems, and networking
- Product experience with all major AV system manufacturers including Creston, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Vaddio, Cisco, and HP/Poly
- Understanding of supportive infrastructure for these systems, cabling, conduit, terminations, head end and distributive equipment
- Experience with EASE and other acoustical modeling software a plus
- Current CTS Certification, CTS-D and/or CTS-I a plus
- Certifications for manufacturers including Crestron, Extron, QSC, and Biamp a plus.
Responsibilities
- Produce basic pattern designs utilizing CAD tools.
- Prepare detailed drawings, using software tools.
- Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the project requirements.
- Contribute design modifications to improve the quality and function of the design.
- Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats.
- Monitor, identify, and correct straightforward software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
- Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity.

- Bachelor’s degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
- Federal work experience desirable
- Be able and willing to travel to client locations and job sites in the Washington DC metro area and more distant locations as required (short term travel)
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
