National General is looking to achieve profit and growth targets for assigned states for the Auto line of business by designing, developing, managing and leading strategies, initiatives, and people using product, pricing, and risk management knowledge to achieve business goals.
Requirements
- 4 - 7 or more years of insurance experience (Preferred)
- Data and analytics skills
- Product, pricing, and risk management knowledge
- Exploratory analytics skills
- Ability to develop new insights and understanding of business performance based on data analysis
- Knowledge of state specific regulations
- Experience with IT, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Finance and other areas both within the division and throughout the enterprise
Responsibilities
- Ownership of P&L for assigned auto insurance states
- Leads the formulation of strategies using data and analytics to achieve business objectives
- Analyze data to assess early detection of trends, developing actionable insights and to inform decisions on rates and risk management guidelines
- Proactively leads the identification, development, execution and post implementation evaluation of strategies to address challenges and maximize opportunities
- Manages competitive landscape analysis to inform rate, risk management guidelines and product decisions
- Communicates and coordinates state and product efforts with IT, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Finance and other areas both within the division and throughout the enterprise
- Ensures product and risk management policies are compliant with state specific regulations; provides regulatory/market conduct exam support as needed
