Cybertrol Engineering needs an Automation Engineering Manager to provide technical direction and leadership to a team of automation engineers, ensuring successful execution of complex automation projects and driving strategic goals.
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Chemical) or related engineering field with 7+ years' experience in manufacturing, industrial automation controls (PLC/HMI), information systems (MES, MIS, etc.), systems engineering, or project management
- Experience with industrial automation controls (PLC/HMI)
- Experience with information systems (MES, MIS, etc.)
- Understanding of functional safety requirements and past implementation of safety systems (desired)
- Exposure to different project management methods, including Agile Scrum (desired)
Responsibilities
- Develop and establish internal processes, procedures, and tools for the efficient, quality delivery of solutions to the customer
- Provide guidance and steering on select key projects
- Participate in strategic planning and execution
- Stay on top of industry trends, especially with respect to technology to anticipate and to develop the team’s skills to be responsive to industry shifts
- Participate in customer discussions and proposal/quote development as appropriate
- Manage budgets and resources for the department
Other
- Performance management for direct team, including growth and development
- Ensure team continuity while also developing and maintaining a positive team culture
- Employee recruiting, both directly for direct team, and other areas within Cybertrol
- Onboarding duties for new hires, including facilitating a company introduction and technical training
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, Information Systems and Operations, as well as with Cybertrol’s leadership team
- Traveling up to 5% may be required to support project lifecycle, training, or other professional related travel
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs
- 2-5 years of direct management experience
