Adient is seeking an Automation Engineer Intern to support automation-related projects for complete seat production, aiming to develop, implement, and optimize automated systems and processes in the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and integration of automated systems and robotics for manufacturing processes
- Specify automation components and technologies required for projects
- Develop schematics, drawings, and documentation for automated equipment
- Support installation and configuration of hardware and software for automation solutions
- Develop, modify, or troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and robotic programs used in automation
- Participate in testing, startup, and debugging of automated systems
- Contribute to equipment design reviews, installations, and optimizations at local complete seat plants
Other
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and working towards a 4-year B.S. degree in Electrical, Controls, Computer, or Automation Engineering
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week
- Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0
- Previous internship or co-op experience in an automotive or manufacturing-related position is an added plus
- Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills including the ability to write clear, concise technical documentation
