Milacron is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team to be responsible for the development and testing of control system software for new product development, including robot software development for robotic motion and machine interaction and motion control.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of software development experience with a focus on full stack web development. Languages include C, C and Javascript.
- PLC development experience using function block diagram and/or structure text.
- Experience with developing motion control software and robotic automation.
- Experience with B&R Automation Studie and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic prints.
Responsibilities
- development and testing of control system software for new product development
- experience in robot software development for robotic motion and machine interaction and motion control
- implementation of new features on existing control platforms
- understanding and following the existing control architecture and associated style guides
- developing web-based frontend via Javascript, C and HTML
- development on legacy system using Qt
- backend machine control is done through B&R’s PLC development environment and Beckhoff’s TwinCAT IDE via structured text
