Venti Technologies is seeking a skilled robotics engineer to deploy autonomous systems onto existing terminal tractors and support on-site testing, validation, and service engineering. This role focuses on implementing and integrating existing autonomous vehicle software, ensuring seamless operation in real-world environments.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with C++, Python, or ROS for deploying software in real-time systems.
- Familiarity with sensor integration (LIDAR, cameras, radar) and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet).
- Experience in testing and validation of integrated systems, preferably in automotive or logistics environments.
- Proficiency in software deployment tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Linux).
- Basic knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and sensor calibration.
- Understanding of vehicle system integration and embedded systems.
- Experience deploying autonomous systems or automation solutions in logistics or automotive industries.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate autonomous vehicle software onto existing terminal tractors, ensuring compatibility with vehicle hardware.
- Configure and optimize software for real-time operation, focusing on reliability and performance in logistics environments.
- Integrate sensors (LIDAR, cameras, radar) and communication systems (e.g., CAN, Ethernet) with existing vehicle platforms.
- Perform minor software modifications or updates to meet deployment requirements.
- Conduct on-site testing and validation of autonomous systems to ensure functionality, safety, and performance in terminal operations.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure robust system performance.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of LIDAR, cameras, and other sensors to maintain optimal performance.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software development or system deployment, ideally in robotics, autonomous systems, or automotive industries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines.
- Comfortable with on-site work, including vehicle recovery and maintenance tasks.
