The Weather Company is looking to enhance its aviation applications to provide dispatchers and pilots with safe and efficient flight execution by combining real-time weather and aviation data.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as GoLang, C, Python, or a similar back-end language
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) database systems
- Experience with containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience in performance optimization, profiling, and tuning of software applications
- Experience with a front-end framework such as React
Responsibilities
- Design and implement services in our next-generation aviation application suite
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using key programming languages
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and user guides
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, as well as internal SMEs to understand and flesh out requirements
