The Data Analytics Senior Analyst role at Citi aims to solve complex business problems by leveraging data. The individual will contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes within data science initiatives, ultimately influencing business decisions and driving optimization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Hands on experiencing in building data pipelines using Apache Spark.
- Hands on experience of working on "Big Data" platforms such as Hadoop, Hive or Snowflake for data storage and processing.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Relational (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) database design
- Good exposure to data modeling techniques; design, optimization and maintenance of data models and data structures
- Proficient in one or more programming languages commonly used in data engineering such as Python, Java or Scala
- Exposure to concepts and enablers - CI/CD platforms, version control, automated quality control management
- Experience of modelling data for analytical consumers
Responsibilities
- Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flows.
- Coordinates and contribute to the objectives of data science initiatives and overall business through leveraging in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function.
- Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
- Mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.
- Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to identify data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan.
- Consults with business clients to identify system functional specifications.
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.

- Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
