LPL Financial is looking for an AVP Software Developer to help with the development of many projects that span different technologies and requirements, with a background in the development of cloud-native web applications leveraging technologies including PLSQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, Python. ETL & AWS preferred. The candidate will be guiding a high-velocity, multi-functional development team focused on green-field technology platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated development tech/team leadership
- Minimum of 8 years of experience within a combination of Oracle PLSQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, Python. ETL & AWS preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of AWS experience, AWS (container and sever-less), and/or front end technologies including CSS, Semantic HTML and Responsive Design.
- Minimum of 5 years of expertise with Source Control such as GIT, Bitbucket or TFS. CI/CD experience with TeamCity/Octopus/Jenkins/Jules.
- AWS Certified
- ETL Tools experience to work vendor data feeds and data from operational systems.
- Experience with DevOps, release management, and CI/CD
Responsibilities
- architect, build, deploy and support best-in-class software solutions for internal and external customers.
- Implement Application resiliency, scalability and performance design.
- Oversee and participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance, using Oracle PLSQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, Python. ETL & AWS preferred
- Work with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate business problem statements into technical solutions, then help to plan Sprints that deliver quality demonstrations.
- Assist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendations
- Coordinate solution design with leaders from Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Business to optimize speed to market and achieve prioritized business outcomes.
- Work actively with quality assurance engineer teams, Release Management, DevOps to ensure all SDLC processes are adhered to.
