LPL Financial is looking to enhance their engineering best practices, tools, design patterns, and frameworks by developing next-generation application software, and they need an AVP, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hand on experience in software development in test automation, concurrent coding skills in Java.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience, leading multiple team initiatives simultaneously.
  • 4+ years of experience in building automation frameworks and/or contributing to the frameworks.
  • 4+ years of experience with test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, UI and Mobile Testing.
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with Jira or similar Agile process tools.
  • Experience with using defect management and test management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, engineering and other domain teams to understand features, develop and automate test cases, improve product quality and shorten release time from dev to production.
  • Using different software testing methodologies to deliver quality software.
  • Coordinating and driving E2E testing with cross-domains.
  • Being able to identify the manual processes and solve through automation.
  • Working with software engineers to understand product architecture and features.
  • Participate in code reviews to advocate and improve code quality and coding standards.
  • Create and maintain data scenarios to support test plans and test cases

Other

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science or similar, plus 8+ years of experience
  • OR Master’s Degree, Computer Science or similar, plus 7+ years of experience
  • OR no degree, plus 12+ years of experience working in Quality Engineering and management roles
  • Must sit onsite 3 days a week on average, in Austin TX or Charlotte/Fort Mill SC
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where resourcefulness, determination, and strong problem-solving skills are necessary for success.
