At LPL Financial, the Assistant Vice President on the Investment Management and Trading team is needed to create highly available and performant systems, specifically designing, architecting, and developing cloud-native and on-prem services to support LPL’s overall strategy and transformation in the trading organization.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive experience in owning and driving full stack applications as hands-on Engineering Tech Lead - guiding, solutioning, delivering, and documenting team’s development efforts towards successful project delivery and application support
- 8+ experience with the following technologies: .NET core, AWS/Azure with Kubernetes and Docker, SQL/Postgres/MongoDB, Kafka, Microservices, Angular, and Typescript
- 6+ years of experience with designing scalable APIs using containers over Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with front-end platforms, like Angular (preferred) or Nx.Js, along with test platforms such as Cypress, Jest, etc.
- Experience with owning and production support of mission-critical applications.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and stream processing
- Familiarity with caching techniques and stores such as Elasticache, Redis, GridGain, etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead a tech team to design, develop, test and implement highly available and scalable technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
- Deep understanding and seasoned on AWS platform and Cloud DevOps.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architecture, data, product, and business partners, and strategies to scale and modernize existing trading platforms.
- Work collaboratively with quality assurance engineering teams, DevOps and PMO to ensure all SDLC processes and Agile best practices are followed.
- Code and implement guardrails to enable self-service and frictionless delivery allowing teams to build and own end-to-end applications and services in the cloud.
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through technical design and implementation of industry best practices adhering to LPL’s modernization practices, cloud practices, SDLC and release management processes.
