Requirements
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry economics, supply chain dynamics, and payer-pharma-pharmacy relationships.
- Experience at a pharmaceutical company and/or in management consulting highly valued.
- Expertise in business development strategy and generating data insights, with quantifiable impact on pricing, access, or formulary decisions.
- Ability to generate actionable insights from complex data sets, contributing to measurable improvement in strategic forecasting accuracy.
- Proven ability to generate new ideas, build business cases, and lead initiatives from concept to in-market launch with at least 3 successful product or program launches.
Responsibilities
- Represent CVS Health with credibility and confidence in high-level discussions with pharmaceutical executives, cultivating trusted, long-term relationships that result in new strategic partnerships annually.
- Translate manufacturer needs and market signals into actionable business opportunities aligned with CVS Health’s capabilities and growth priorities.
- Collaborate with life sciences companies to design and pilot patient and provider engagement programs that address unmet needs and demonstrate product value, with new pilots and measurable improvements in patient adherence or satisfaction.
- Partner with Trade negotiators to ensure patient access to complex and limited-distribution therapies, leveraging CVS Health’s franchise framework and end-to-end support, resulting in measurable increase in therapy access across key therapeutic areas.
- Lead the development of insights publications and Executive briefings on manufacturer strategy and drug pipeline trends with quarterly deliverables that reach 500+ industry stakeholders.
- Synthesize internal and external intelligence—including market share, pipeline, and channel dynamics to inform CVS Health’s strategic positioning and support enterprise-level decisions.

- 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, or Pharma Market Access.
- Proven Success in roles with P&L responsibility or direct revenue impact exceeding $25M annually.
- Strong executive presence with a track record of influencing C-suite stakeholders and securing cross-functional alignment.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams of 5+ direct reports and mentoring junior talent, with measurable improvements in team engagement and performance.
- Track record of securing $10M+ in investment funding for innovative initiatives.
