Capstone Integrated Solutions is seeking a CloudWatch Implementation Engineer to lead the migration of application monitoring and observability from New Relic to AWS CloudWatch.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudWatch (dashboards, metrics, logs, alarms, and EMF).
- Familiarity with New Relic or similar APM tools.
- Experience instrumenting applications for telemetry and custom metrics (e.g., via CloudWatch SDK, OpenTelemetry, or custom agents).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, Java, or C).
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, CloudFormation, and IAM.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating monitoring into deployment workflows.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
Responsibilities
- Design & Build Dashboards
- Develop custom AWS CloudWatch dashboards for application performance, infrastructure health, and business KPIs.
- Define relevant metrics, dimensions, and alarms to ensure actionable insights and alerting.
- Migrate from New Relic
- Analyze existing New Relic dashboards, metrics, and alerting configurations.
- Develop a migration plan to reproduce or improve these insights using CloudWatch metrics and logs.
- Collaborate with the client’s development teams to modify applications to emit metrics, logs, and traces to CloudWatch.

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with client development teams.
