M&J Engineering, P.C. is seeking an AWS CWI for Field and Fabrication Shop Inspector to ensure the quality and compliance of fabricated steel components across various projects nationwide. This role will involve on-site inspections of fabrication processes and materials, as well as material testing and special inspections at job sites.
Requirements
- AWS CWI Certification
- NDT Certifications/Experience (UT, MT, RT, etc.)
- ICC Certifications
Responsibilities
- Review and verify fabrication drawings and material specifications for compliance.
- Inspect fabrication processes including cutting, welding, and assembly to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections to confirm components meet tolerance and defect-free standards
- Coordinate and oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) and verify test results.
- Maintain inspection documentation, report non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Other
- Willing to travel long distances to cover steel fabrication shop inspections around the country.
- Willing to stay overnight in different locations on short notice.
- 5+ Years of Experience
- Engineering Degree
