Fannie Mae is looking to expand access to homeownership and affordable rental housing across the country by leveraging technology to improve its IT infrastructure and data integration capabilities.
Requirements
- Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing
- Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
- Experience monitoring and managing operation systems (OS), and staying current on patches, upgrades, and other elements of the OS
- Skilled in Python object-oriented programming
- Proficient in AWS services including S3, EFS/EBS, Glue (Catalog and ETL), EMR, Athena, Lambda Step Functions, SQS/SNS, ECS
- Proficient in Terraform, Gitlabd, Ansible
- Experience in AWS EMR/Hadoop and Apache Spark/PySpark
Responsibilities
- Develop moderately complex solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components.
- Provision, maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure to host Data Integration environments using the target state DevOps tools and keeping costs in mind.
- Manage AWS Glue, AWS EMR, AWS Athena native services including, but not limited to, setting up deployment models, building reference implementations, enhancing resiliency, and continuously enhancing the product based on AWS roadmap
- Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms.
- Draft and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Independently monitor advanced performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions.
- Automate operational tasks using Python or Unix Shell scripting

- Engage with shared service teams and customers to understand their needs and assess feasibility of use cases
- Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
- Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
- Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
- Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
- Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
- For most roles, employees are expected to work onsite on a regular basis at their designated office location.
