Lilly is looking for an AWS Senior Cloud Engineer to develop foundational services of cloud computing capabilities for Lilly and contribute to the strategy for all cloud services offered to Lilly, ensuring reliability, performance, innovation, and continuous improvement of their cloud services.
Requirements
- Expertise in the AWS cloud platforms is crucial. This includes a deep understanding of cloud services, architecture, monitoring and best practices for deployment, scaling, and management.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash, configuration management tools such as Ansible, and familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Basic knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tools and experience in deploying and managing AI/ML models in a cloud environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance standards, and best practices for securing cloud environments.
- Proficiency with DevOps practices to streamline and automate the development, deployment and operational processes.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies. Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. This includes troubleshooting and optimizing cloud infrastructure

- Be senior leader on the Global AWS Cloud team, developing the foundational services of cloud computing capabilities for Lilly.
- working as part of the larger cloud foundation team on strategy for all cloud services that will be offered to Lilly.
- work closely with various teams and customers to ensure the reliability, performance, innovation and continuous improvement of our cloud services.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field
- 5+ years in infrastructure management, focusing on multi-cloud environments, including 3+ years in cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing operations of a global large-scale Infrastructure service.
- Hybrid role (minimum 3 days in the office) located in Indianapolis, IN (relocation required).
- Expected US business hours with team after-hours support needs for evening and weekends.
