Automation Anywhere is looking to hire a Back-End Engineer to build and optimize the core services that power their Agentic Process Automation (APA) platform, enabling AI-powered agents and human users to work in harmony.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in back-end development
- Proficient in Java and one or more of the other server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, microservices architecture
- Strong experience with Spring framework, including REST APIs, security, data access, and configuration
- Experience in relational and NoSQL database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, CDB, Elasticsearch)
- Exposure to message brokers like Kafka or ActiveMQ.
- Understanding of the client-server model, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
Responsibilities
- Building robust REST APIs, services, and backend infrastructure to support business applications
- Working cross-functionally with Front-End Engineers, Product Managers, QA, and Support teams to deliver end-to-end features
- Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Participating in design and code reviews to uphold engineering excellence
- Identifying bottlenecks and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems
- Recommending and adopt modern backend technologies, frameworks, and processes to improve development speed and maintainability
- Sharing best practices and support junior developers through guidance and reviews

- Hybrid role with regular onsite workdays in our San Jose, CA office strongly preferred.
