Responsibilities
- Communicate with the Front End Lead to enhance start-up and changeovers while reducing downtime
- Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and communicating with the maintenance team
- Start the equipment - Bag and Box Printers, Metal Detectors, Counter/Stackers, Sealers, Box Formers, Box Tapers, Electric Conveyors, Turn Tables
- Ensure that the bag and box printers are printing correctly on each line at startup and throughout the shift
- Ensure that the accuview machines are set on the correct programs
- Conduct daily crew meetings
- Challenge the Metal Detectors hourly, at startup/end of run, as needed
Other
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in food production/process/packaging equipment operation
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Ability to push up to 30-45 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and move continuously over a 10 hour shift
