The Boeing Company is seeking a Back-End Software Engineer to support the Model-Based Engineering Software (MBSE) team in developing prototypes and new capabilities for web-applications and services, focusing on Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in backend software development
- 2+ years of experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, C, Python, SQL, etc.
- Experience interfacing with databases using SQL or PL/SQL
- Strong experience with Go or Java
- Basic C++, Python
- Experience with Kafka, NiFi, Redis, or RabbitMQ
- Experience with GitLab, GitLab Runner, CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Mastering your craft and learning continuously
- Work with a team to shape the architecture of several web applications
- Build new and expand on existing infrastructure for multi-application communications, logging, alerts, authentication, configuration, and more
- Create test-suites for server applications to verify reliability, performance, and behavior
- Work collaboratively to make decisions that affect the entire system
- Interface with users and developers to define and implement solutions to meet requirements
- Work independently and with a team to prototype features and applications

- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%)
