Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking to expand its backend development team across various experience levels, from junior to subject matter expert, to address complex technical assignments and lead project outcomes in backend and geospatial technology initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, and/or Python programming.
- Basic knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines and Agile practices.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS preferred, Microsoft, GCP, and others).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Interest or coursework in geospatial technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Assist with implementing secure coding practices within a DevSecOps pipeline.
- Support containerized application development (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Contribute to cloud-based application development and deployment in AWS environments.
- Participate in geospatial application development, including data ingestion and processing.
- Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Build and maintain secure, automated DevSecOps pipelines for CI/CD.
Other
- Collaborate with senior developers in Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Mentor junior developers and review code contributions.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and recommend improvements.
- Provide input on deliverables, schedules, and performance metrics.
- Supervise development teams and provide technical mentorship.
