LIXIL's Hydrific initiative is seeking to address the urgent global need for water-saving innovations by developing advanced solutions, including IoT smart home devices designed to optimize water usage.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in building scalable backend software solutions, architecture, and design
- 5+ years of experience with web frameworks and platform engineering in production environments
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and managing cloud platforms such as AWS
- Expertise in designing and managing data pipelines, signal processing, and working with time-series data
- Advanced knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and API design/documentation (GraphQL, REST)
- Proficiency in functional programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Clojure, or Haskell
- Experience with object-oriented or procedural languages including Java, Go, Python, C, C++, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Rust, or C-Sharp
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable backend code that aligns with business objectives
- Expand and maintain our backend infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring fault tolerance and security
- Analyze, optimize, and extend data pipelines and detection algorithms to enhance product performance
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines, implement rigorous testing protocols, and streamline deployment processes
- Work with QA teams to ensure code quality and adherence to standards throughout the release cycle
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices, ensuring scalable and resilient cloud services
- Contribute to the design and documentation of APIs and data models for internal and external use

- Collaborate closely with product stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the product development lifecycle within an Agile Scrum environment
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster a collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in mobile app development, front-end web development, embedded firmware, IoT device integration, electrical engineering, or electronics prototyping.
