Underdog is looking to develop and deploy internal APIs and workflows to enable seamless integration between its internal services.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building microservices heavy backend systems and APIs for internal applications on a cloud environment
- Experience building and scaling backend systems and designing enterprise scale APIs for external and internal applications
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
- Advanced proficiency with Go, C++, Rust, or other similar programming languages
- Intermediate proficiency with SQL
- Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Prior experience developing production systems in Rust
Responsibilities
- Developing and deploying internal APIs and workflows
- Designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices
- Greenfield and developing new backend systems for scalability, fault tolerance, and performance
- Collaborating with engineers, product owners, and data scientists to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms
- Leading technical initiatives and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Leading code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and evangelizing best practices
