Underdog is looking to build the backbone of its data ecosystem by designing and deploying internal APIs and workflows that power seamless communication across its services, and create robust, scalable microservices to serve real-time, high-volume data needs for its internal teams, enabling faster decision-making and better fan experiences.
Requirements
- Backend Engineer with at least 3 years of experience building microservices heavy backend systems and APIs for internal applications on a cloud environment (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Advanced proficiency with Go
- Experience building and scaling backend systems and designing enterprise scale APIs for external and internal applications
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
- Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CDK)

- Champion engineering excellence by leading code reviews, sharing best practices, and helping level up the team through mentorship and feedback.
