Sailrite is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain critical services that connect core platforms like NetSuite, BigCommerce, and Directus, ensuring an efficient, reliable, and scalable technology ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in a backend programming language, with a primary requirement for Go (Golang).
  • Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and a deep understanding of web service architecture.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Demonstrable experience with the principles of system integration and connecting disparate business applications (e.g., ERP, e-commerce, CRM).
  • Experience with an iPaaS platform like Boomi is a major plus.
  • Direct API integration experience with NetSuite, BigCommerce, and/or Directus.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTMX for building simple, effective internal tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable backend services, primarily using Go (Golang) and HTMX, to support business-critical functions.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and contribute to the performance and design of our application databases.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues within our backend systems and integrations, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Work closely with the team to define technical requirements and produce clear, concise documentation for the services and systems you build.

  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or a similar development-focused role.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
