Requirements
- 1-6 years of experience designing and developing backend software
- Experience developing backend systems involving database schema design, and synchronous/asynchronous systems
- Experience developing in C++, or ability to quickly pick up C++ with experience in similar languages like Java, or C
- Excellent written and verbal skills and experience working in a collaborative team
- Ability to identify challenging problems and potential solutions with guidance from a mentor, and work toward them with a high degree of independence
Responsibilities
- Design and build solutions that utilize asynchronous pipelines, database systems, RPC handlers in collaboration with frontend engineers and backend engineers
- Collaborate cross functionally with product managers, and program managers to design, implement and quickly launch new features for partners and end consumers
- Mitigate, root cause and resolve urgent, time sensitive issues, in both familiar and unfamiliar software, as part of an on-call rotation, or other escalations
- Contribute to team culture of support, engagement and quality, ensuring Wing can scale as a business
- Develop backend systems involving database schema design, and synchronous/asynchronous systems
Other
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar degree (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative team environment
- Ability to demonstrate full project ownership, from strong backend software design to fast paced implementation following industry best practices
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence
