Tiber Technologies is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions in a dynamic DevOps environment, supporting various contracts and objectives.
Requirements
- Backend development with Java and Python
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Linux systems administration (CentOS, Red Hat)
- Containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher
- Familiarity with GitLab, Jira, and version control workflows
- Systems integration and troubleshooting in complex environments
- Interfacing with RESTful services
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in support of tools and infrastructure.
- Migrate and modernize legacy applications from Java to Python.
- Integrate new data sources, analytics, and monitoring tools into existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions that address requirements.
- Participate in DevOps workflows including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and container orchestration.
- Support efforts to identify and implement process improvements, performance optimizations, and system hardening.
- Provide secondary support to a data science team as needed.

- Provide mentorship to junior developers and share best practices across the team.
- This position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time.
