Lamb Weston is looking for a Batter Mix Operator to ensure the proper mixing and volume of batter through the control and use of mixing and measuring equipment, while also performing sanitation duties.
Requirements
- Able to operate all batter equipment, piping, and controls in area of responsibility.
- Certified to operate the Walkie lift and be able to operate it safely.
- Able to measure viscosities using stopwatch, Zahn and/or Stein cup.
- Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures.
- Possess a working knowledge of how the equipment works
- Must be forklift certified. If not, must meet requirements to become forklift certified.
- Be able to work with the following equipment and tools: Stein and Zahn Cup, Stop watch, Batter Knife, Water Hoses, Panel View, Automated ingredient systems, Hoist, Walkie lift, Battery change, Computer
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control viscosity in the primary tanks, holding tanks, and applicators.
- Understand the batter equipment and its operation
- Help move batter totes with the walkie lift when needed or directed.
- Document viscosity, equipment settings, and batter inventory information
- Keep equipment in the area of responsibility clean.
- Able to operate all batter equipment, piping, and controls in area of responsibility.
- Able to measure viscosities using stopwatch, Zahn and/or Stein cup.
Other
- Participate in the safety engagement process. This includes giving I Care huddles, conducting area assessments, and addressing all safety concerns with the Production Team Lead.
- Help train new employees in the batter mixing operator position
- Stay at workstation when the co-batter mix operator is not in the batter area. Batter mix operators will relieve each other for breaks.
- Perform equal and/or lower rated job duties as assigned by Team Leader personnel when batter is not running.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
