Beasley Forest Products is looking for a Sawmill Clean Up Worker to maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, sawdust, and other materials from the sawmill floor, machinery, and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and tools is a plus.
- Must adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Clean and remove sawdust, wood chips, and debris from the sawmill floor and machinery.
- Assist in clearing blocked areas of machinery or equipment as needed.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with company guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist maintenance and operations teams with light repairs or tasks as needed.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and ensure efficient production.
Other
- Previous experience working in a sawmill, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
