Beasley Forest Products needs a Log Crane Operator to safely and efficiently move logs and timber within the sawmill, ensuring the smooth operation of forestry and lumber production activities.
Requirements
- Heavy Machinery Experience (Crane Preferred)
- Proven experience in operating heavy equipment, preferably in forestry or logging operations.
- Knowledge of logging industry practices and equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance of heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and practices related to forestry.
Responsibilities
- Operate log cranes and associated equipment to move logs and timber safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it is in safe working condition; report any mechanical issues to management.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the crane and associated equipment as needed.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and other transportation vehicles.
- Monitor and manage log inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency.

- Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with other crew members to ensure effective log handling and transportation.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations, including equipment usage and any incidents.
- Participate in training sessions and safety drills as required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights and in challenging terrain.
