Beasley Forest Products is looking to solve the problem of maintaining and repairing their rolling stock, including forklifts, backhoes, front end loaders, Terex's, and skid steers at the sawmill, to ensure high-quality products while minimizing environmental impact.
Requirements
- Must have two to four years hands on mechanic experience.
- Must have their own set of tools.
- Must be familiar with OSHA regulations regarding all of the rolling stock equipment.
- Grasp understanding of operating manuals, troubleshooting guides and wiring schematics.
- Ability to weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
- Ability to assemble gear systems and align frames and gears.
- Ability to adjust and maintain machinery, using control and regulating devices.
Responsibilities
- Repair brakes, hydraulics, and electrical problems on the rolling stock.
- Perform motor repairs on the rolling stock.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the rolling stock as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Perform oil changes and transmission repairs as needed on the rolling stock.
- Repair, service operate, and inspect the machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects or other repairs that need to be performed.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.

- Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and written skills.
- Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures dependent on the weather.
- Must be able to work around fumes, odors, chemicals, and/or loud noises.
