Beasley Forest Products is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on their rolling stock, including forklifts, backhoes, front-end loaders, Terex's, and skid steers at the sawmill.
Requirements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic problems, on all of our rolling stock.
- Repair brakes, hydraulics, and electrical problems on the rolling stock.
- Perform motor repairs on the rolling stock.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the rolling stock as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Perform oil changes and transmission repairs as needed on the rolling stock.
- Repair, service operate, and inspect the machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects or other repairs that need to be performed.
- Grasp understanding of operating manuals, troubleshooting guides and wiring schematics.
Responsibilities

- Perform motor repairs on the rolling stock.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the rolling stock as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Perform oil changes and transmission repairs as needed on the rolling stock.
- Repair, service operate, and inspect the machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects or other repairs that need to be performed.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Other
- Must perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- Must have the ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Must research, order, and maintain parts for services and repairs.
- Schedule maintenance for all rolling stock machines and equipment and keep equipment service records.
- Must be familiar with OSHA regulations regarding all of the rolling stock equipment.
