DecisionPoint seeks a BI Developer / Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions for a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment, supporting operational, security, and service performance reporting by building dashboards that provide visibility into availability, incidents, service desk KPIs, security events, and other mission-critical metrics.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar BI platforms.
- Strong SQL proficiency and familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.
- Understanding of KPI frameworks, operational metrics, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with metadata management and dashboard governance.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Experience developing automated CI/CD pipelines for BI reporting.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Create automated data pipelines to support dashboard refreshes and near real-time reporting.
- Build dashboards covering availability, performance, incidents, service desk KPIs, and security events.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for metrics and data models.
- Work with data owners to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of source data.
- Develop queries, scripts, and transformations to support visualization outputs.
- Validate dashboards for accuracy, usability, and compliance with program standards.
Other
- Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business intelligence, dashboard development, or analytics engineering.
- Experience designing operational dashboards for federal, DoD, or enterprise environments.
