Gallagher is seeking a Technical Lead - BI Engineer to lead the development and delivery of business intelligence (BI) solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
- Strong experience with SQL and data modeling for relational and multidimensional databases.
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Experience with cloud-based BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS QuickSight, Google Looker).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, data marts, and semantic layers to support BI initiatives.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI solutions through rigorous testing and optimization.
- Mentor and guide a team of BI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and recommend BI tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the organization's analytics capabilities.
- Implement and enforce best practices for BI development, data governance, and security.
Other
- 7+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in BI tools or data analytics platforms.
- Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning integration in BI solutions
