Dal-Tile is looking for a BI Specialist to help with the delivery of global BI solutions within a Global IT Center of Excellence (COE) team. The role will collaborate with other IT colleagues to facilitate systems integrations and transitions and work hands-on with data warehousing/BI technologies to provide support to the business community for all BI-related applications.

Requirements

  • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities.
  • Build data models and develop dashboards using Power BI desktop
  • Experience with Microsoft’s BI Stack; SSAS and PowerBI.
  • Experience implementing SAP BOBJ and BODS on HANA.
  • Experience with EDW development life cycle from business requirement gathering to end solution.
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
  • Experience with creating scalable data pipelines in Databricks and Spark

Responsibilities

  • Work with Global IT COE colleagues and project sponsors/customers to successfully implement Business Intelligence Analytics applications for the business.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and implement data models for effective reporting and analysis.
  • Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive and cohesive datasets for analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of data.
  • Participate in major applications integration efforts, this includes but not limited to application testing and user support of purchased package applications.
  • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group, to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
