The BI Systems Developer is responsible for building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, integrating Encompass reports via Snowflake, and developing clean, efficient data models to support business intelligence operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Power BI development (Desktop & Service).
- Proficient in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and BI best practices.
- Experience with beverage distribution or Encompass sales systems.
- Experience with Snowflake and Encompass reporting
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Git, ALM Toolkit, dbt, CI/CD pipelines).
- Comfortable in agile or fast-paced development environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards with professional-grade visuals, navigation, and performance optimization.
- Apply best practices in DAX, Power Query (M), bookmarks, themes, and layout consistency.
- Manage Power BI Service assets, including workspaces, dataset refreshes, and user permissions.
- Integrate and manage Encompass reports through Snowflake pipelines, including data mapping, scheduling, and modeling.
- Build and maintain SQL views and semantic models to support reporting and data analysis.
- Collaborate with analysts to ensure data accuracy, usability, and visualization effectiveness.
- Enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and data lineage documentation.
