Manifold Bio is looking to solve the problem of targeted biologics discovery using a novel in vivo-centric approach, and is seeking a research associate to contribute to the optimization of bioconjugation workflows and advance the oligomedicines pipeline.
Requirements
- Experience with bioconjugation chemistry principles and methodologies (e.g., cysteine-based, lysine-based conjugation strategies, and/or enzymatic bioconjugation)
- Proficiency in basic protein purification techniques (e.g., affinity capture, protein quantification, gel electrophoresis, FPLC-based chromatography)
- Demonstrated practical experience with antibody production, purification, and handling
- Proven ability to troubleshoot biochemical assays and optimize experimental protocols
- Experience with high-throughput screening or automation
- Familiarity with various analytical techniques for characterization of biomolecules (e.g., Mass Spectrometry, DLS, BLI, SPR)
Responsibilities
- Consistently execute core bioconjugation protocols for various antibody and oligo pairs.
- Purify and characterize bioconjugated products to ensure high-quality and reproducibility.
- Proactively identify and contribute to the optimization of existing bioconjugation and analytical workflows.
- Efficiently troubleshoot bioconjugation reactions and related biochemical assays.
- Accurately maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to scientific discussions.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with the research team.
Other
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on wet-lab experience in protein production, purification, and biochemistry in an industry setting
- A team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Ability to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary team environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
