Sanofi's Global Immunology Department is seeking a Co-op Scientist to analyze complex biological datasets, develop computational models, and discover insights through statistical and algorithmic techniques to support Immunology and Vaccine research and development.

Requirements

  • Basic programming skills in at least one language (Python, R, or similar)
  • Coursework in statistics, programming, and biological sciences
  • Understanding of biological concepts, particularly in immunology or related fields
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement computational pipelines and analytical methods for processing large-scale immunological datasets from vaccine research and development programs.
  • Be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex biological data from various sources including genomic sequencing, proteomics, and immunological assays.
  • Get trained and subsequently apply expertise in programming languages (Python/R), statistical analysis tools, and bioinformatics software to process and analyze high-throughput data.
  • Has a strong commitment to data quality and reproducibility while establishing best practices in computational analysis and promoting robust documentation standards.
  • Participate in code maintenance and pipeline optimization as required.
  • Be responsible for data visualization, statistical analysis, and appropriate documentation through computational notebooks and version control systems.
  • May participate in the implementation of analytical pipelines for pre-clinical immunology groups

Other

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Proficient English language written, and verbal skills are required
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
