The client, a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space, is seeking a Bioinformatician to play a central role in delivering impact across the organization by analyzing complex bioinformatic pipelines and developing computational methods for high-throughput DNA sequencing data.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in genome sequencing data analysis or bioinformatics research
- Strong knowledge of genomics and NGS data analysis workflows
- Proficiency with tools for NGS data exploration and analysis (e.g., samtools, bedtools, bcftools)
- Solid programming skills in at least one modern language (Python preferred)
Responsibilities
- Analyze and present results from complex bioinformatic pipelines to uncover meaningful biological insights
- Develop and optimize computational methods for high-throughput DNA sequencing data
- Collaborate with laboratory scientists, software engineers, and statisticians to design experiments
- Support product development by integrating novel algorithms into production-ready pipelines
- Produce high-quality written documentation, including study plans and validation reports
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration within a fast-paced environment
