Requirements
- Ability to implement algorithms in common programming languages such as Python or R
- Ability to query and reshape large datasets
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology or related field
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ML/AI algorithms
- Work with large multi-modal datasets, including NGS and PCR-based assays and biochemical assays, to generate novel features for model training
- Train, validate, and optimize ML models to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cancer detection
- Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights and improvements to existing models
- Document research findings and present results to the team
- Exercise excellent problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in cancer detection methods
- Incorporate advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to refine and validate models
Other
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization
- Ability to work the designated schedule
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program
