Arthrex is seeking an intern to support the Biological Safety Laboratory (BSL) team in performing laboratory testing and activities according to procedures to support monitoring programs and manufacturing activities.
Requirements
- Microbiology sample collection experience preferred.
- PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
Responsibilities
- Create reagents and materials for laboratory testing.
- Collection and testing of environmental samples.
- Assist in maintaining BSL systems and documentation.
- Assist in collecting and interpreting laboratory test data.
- Perform microbiology and/or chemistry tests under supervision and as per established procedures.
- Contribute to laboratory maintenance and cleaning.
Other
- Enrolled as a full-time junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Science-related field (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Bioengineering) or recent graduate required.
- The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Ave Maria, FL facility.
- This Internship will run from May 2026 – August 2026.
- A successful candidate will be detail-oriented in test execution/documentation and will deliver results/communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- The Biological Safety Lab is a fast-paced environment; a successful candidate must be a fast learner and able to perform work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
