Sanofi Translational Medicine Unit analyzes data from advanced, high-dimensional profiling of gene and protein expression to understand the mechanism of action of our drug candidates and identify markers for drug activity and response in patients.
Requirements
- Experience performing data analysis in R or python
- Experience with cloud-based Linux computing platforms
- Experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning for biological data analysis
Responsibilities
- Learn to analyze large molecular profiling datasets from studies of patients with autoimmune and/or neurodegenerative diseases using R and Python
- Identify biological processes and patient characteristics associated with disease progression and response to treatment
- Learn and use best practices for reproducible data analysis
- Collaborate with biomarker scientists, clinicians, biostatisticians and others to propose biomarkers for upcoming clinical trials
Other
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in bioinformatics, biology, statistics, computer science or a related field at an accredited college or universitywith the expectation that you will complete yourcurrent degreeby the Spring of 2027
- Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship
