The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a Biomechanical Signals & Analysis Engineer to advance processing approaches and sensing technologies related to war-fighter protection, resilience, and enhancement by analyzing biomechanical data.
Requirements
- 1+ year demonstrated hands-on experience collecting and analyzing data from sensors.
- Documented experience with statistics, signal processing, and algorithm development.
- Deep proficiency in Matlab or Python.
- Understanding of acoustics and optics.
- Knowledge of biomechanics and physiology.
- Experience applying machine learning or deep learning techniques to noisy or complex sensor data.
- Expertise using object-oriented programming.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating algorithms to extract relevant biomechanical signatures from physiological sensors, remote sensing systems, and other modalities.
- Work across teams to develop novel methods for combining and analyzing signal data to extract actionable information.
