Boeing is seeking a Graduate Researcher to support development of CFD solver code development, focusing on Finite Element solver development, meshing, and supporting engineers using the applications, to innovate and define the future of flight
Requirements
- Experience with Aero CFD modeling equations, discretization, and implementation of algorithms
- Experience with numerical programming with parallelization and CPU/GPU coding knowledge
- Ability to write low-level algorithms in C++ and interfaces with Python
- Pursuing a PhD in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or Math
- Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2026
- Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
Responsibilities
- Support development of CFD solver code development
- Focus on Finite Element solver development, meshing, and supporting engineers using the applications
- Work directly with a mentor in the field of study while finding solutions to real-world problems
- Experience Boeing's products up close by touring state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities
- Interact directly with company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of Boeing
- Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities
- Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in the aerospace industry
