WSP is looking for a Bridge Engineering Department Manager for their Nebraska team to be involved in projects with their Transportation Team, meet client objectives, and solve their challenges.
Requirements
- P.E. registration in Nebraska and ability to acquire in other states
- 10+ years’ experience in bridge engineering
- Strong technical skills and background in bridge design, roadway, and Nebraska design standards
- Ability to demonstrate leadership experience – in a design team or personnel management role.
- Accustomed to working in a team environment on challenging projects and leading design teams in delivering high quality projects
Responsibilities
- Lead design, plan development tasks and perform structural analysis and design with a concentration on Nebraska highway structures
- Actively maintain project scope, design changes and project budget and schedule while assigned to projects
- Mentoring, training and development of staff and others performing similar work
- Ability to provide close coordination with others on the project as well as independent QC/QA reviews
- Visiting clients for growing our business and long-term positioning and keeping these clients and other team members well informed of upcoming opportunities
- Work with marketing staff to oversee and lead technical proposals, including the development of leads, cultivating relationships with decision makers, and drafting compelling letters of interest.
- Representing WSP at targeted professional society meetings, including presenting at conferences as appropriate and approved

- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
