Bridge Software Engineer needed to ensure accurate and timely communication between Japanese clients and the development team in Vietnam, managing software development projects to meet client requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to create necessary templates for projects.
- Proficient with common project management tools such as Backlog, Jira, Asana.
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language and source code structure.
- Understanding of at least one MVC framework (e.g., Laravel, Spring Boot).
- Knowledge of Git and Git Flow.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure and AWS services for web operation.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and common HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE).
Responsibilities
- Convey client requirements and expectations to the development team; explain technical issues so clients can understand project progress.
- Provide technical recommendations and solutions to enhance project efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Understand project overview: scope, technologies used, main features, business requirements, and potential risks.
- Participate in effort estimation to ensure feasibility and optimal resource allocation.
- Discuss solutions with the team, identify challenges and resolve them in advance.
- Track and update backlog status to monitor overall project progress, or request responsible members to update tickets.
- Generate reports for clients and management, highlighting key issues for discussion.
Other
- Act as a bridge between Japanese clients and the development team in Vietnam, ensuring all information is communicated accurately, clearly, and timely.
- Directly manage and coordinate projects: plan, track progress, supervise quality and scope, ensuring projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
- Proactively handle any issues during project execution (product quality, requirement changes, schedule delays, etc.).
- Manage and store project documents (Japanese documentation, reports, meeting minutes, etc.) according to regulations.
- Minimum 1ā2 years of experience as a BrSE or project manager in a Japanese client environment.
- Proficient in Japanese (N2 or above), preferably with direct client communication experience.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, SDLC, Agile/Scrum.
